Franklin Engineering Ltd. was formed in 2007 by Jayme Franklin, P.Eng.
Franklin Engineering Ltd. operated successfully from the start and quickly established a reputation as a cost effective, high quality professional company. This reputation has spread, increasing demand to the point that growth was necessary. Growth began in 2011 with the acquisition of our new office on the corner of 4th Street and Lakeshore Avenue in downtown Salmon Arm. Franklin Engineering is poised to continue to grow and to provide an extensive array of services throughout the region. We love calling the Shuswap home and are raising our families here. We take great pride in contributing to the growth of this beautiful region.
Jayme Franklin, P.Eng.
Jayme is the Senior Engineer for Franklin Engineering. He is a Professional Civil Engineer, registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC). He obtained his degree from UBC and is on APEGBC's list of professionals for the purposes of working with the Sewerage System Regulation. Jayme has years of experience with land development planning, design, and project management. He has provided consulting services for many projects throughout the region. He also has many years of experience with onsite wastewater treatment and disposal, including finding solutions for very challenging sites. He is also LEED certified.
Jason Wickner, P.Eng.
Jason is registered with EGBC as an P.Eng with nine years' experience on civil infrastructure projects, primarily in Land Development and Municipal Improvements. He has extensive experience in project and contract management, servicing investigations and infrastructure design.
Dave Sonmor, P.Eng.
David is a native to salmon arm, a B ticketed welder, and a registered professional engineer in both BC and Alberta. Dave has worked in the consulting industry on projects ranging from small subdivisions to highway overpasses, and for contractors in the role of Estimator and Project manager on projects valued up to $10,000,000. Dave has been lead project manager on projects ranging in scope from bridge sized culvert installation and creek realignments, to landfill development and reservoir outlet upgrades.
Nate Johnson, CTech
Nathan is a Civil Engineering Technician with 5 years' experience on civil infrastructure projects, primarily in Land Development and Municipal Improvements. As a native to Salmon Arm, Nate is well versed in the industry and unique development conditions of the Shuswap region.
Clinton Kallies, BFA
Clinton has an extensive background in technical art and design as well as experience in the construction industry. Since joining Franklin Engineering in 2015 he has accumulated a range of experience with the design and drafting of onsite wastewater systems, and Civil3D CAD drafting and design skills. As well Clinton provides us with some of our surveying capacity, both topographical and construction layout.
Emily has been with Franklin Engineering since 2017, overseeing all the administrative functions in the office. She directly handles all financial matters such as client billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Anne Butters, EIT
Anne is an Environmental Engineer In Training registered with the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC). She obtained her BASc degree from UBC-UNBC in 2019. Since joining Franklin Engineering in 2019, Anne has gained experience in design and drafting of water treatment systems, stormwater management plans, and onsite wastewater systems.
