Civil Engineers, Technologists and ROWP’s

We are seeking experienced Civil Engineers and Technologists to join our team. Preference will be given to candidates with good experience within the Civil Engineering/Construction sector. Franklin Engineering is a small Civil Engineering Consulting firm based out of Salmon Arm. We offer Civil Engineering design services, primarily to land developers and land owners, from single lot developments to large community development projects. This includes subdivision planning, design and construction monitoring of road and underground utility works, topographical surveying for design purposes, reporting, permitting, and regulation navigation. We offer specialty services in the planning and approval of onsite wastewater systems ranging in size from single family homes to large community systems. We also specialize in the design of new water sources and water treatment with distribution systems.

A Civil Engineer applicant would bring specific discipline (Water, Wastewater, Storm, Traffic, etc.) experience and leadership qualities to the firm's team.

A Technologist applicant would assist with various aspects of our day-to-day works, most specifically, AutoCAD Civil 3D design works. There is also a need for an experienced surveying and/or installation review (Inspection) services.

A ROWP applicant would be a motivated individual with experience in the wastewater sector. The position would have a goal to head up the firm’s wastewater area of practice with duties raging from site investigations, system planning, detailed design, and drafting of onsite wastewater systems. Full spectrum of system designs from conventional Type 1 single family to MWR registered 500m3 MBR systems.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (B.A.Sc.) or
  • A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
  • Accredited or eligible for accreditation with APEGBC or ASTTBC
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D design and drafting,
  • Previous experience with surveying, topographic and construction layout
  • Experience within the Civil Engineering/Construction industry
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
