Franklin Engineering Ltd. was formed in 2007 by Jayme Franklin, P.Eng.

Franklin Engineering Ltd. operated successfully from the start and quickly established a reputation as a cost effective, high quality professional company. This reputation has spread, increasing demand to the point that growth was necessary. Growth began in 2011 with the acquisition of our new office on the corner of 4th Street and Lakeshore Avenue in downtown Salmon Arm. Franklin Engineering is poised to continue to grow and to provide an extensive array of services throughout the region. We love calling the Shuswap home and are raising our families here. We take great pride in contributing to the growth of this beautiful region.

Jayme Franklin, P.Eng.

Jayme is the Senior Engineer for Franklin Engineering. He is a Professional Civil Engineer, registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC). He obtained his degree from UBC and is on APEGBC's list of professionals for the purposes of working with the Sewerage System Regulation. Jayme has years of experience with land development planning, design, and project management. He has provided consulting services for many projects throughout the region. He also has many years of experience with onsite wastewater treatment and disposal, including finding solutions for very challenging sites. He is also LEED certified.

Jason Wickner, P.Eng.

Jason is a P. Eng, registered with EGBC. Jason has over 10 years of experience with civil infrastructure projects, primarily in Land Development and Municipal Improvements. He has extensive experience in project and contract management, stormwater management, servicing investigations and infrastructure designs.

Nate Johnson, Senior Civil Technologist

Nate is a Civil Engineering Technologist who has spent his career working on infrastructure projects, primarily in Land Development and Municipal Improvements. As a native to Salmon Arm, Nate is well versed in local industry and unique development conditions of the Shuswap Region.

Noah Barrett, Engineer In Training

Noah is a Registered Engineer In Training with EGBC. He graduated in 2021 from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering. Noah has previous experience in hydrotechnical design and environmental site assessments.

Lilian Vuong, Engineer In Training

Lilian joined us as a 2022 graduate from UBC in Vancouver with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences for Civil Engineering. She is a registered Engineer In Training in BC. Lilian has shown herself to be extremely capable and handles various aspect of project deliverables from drafting/design and utility applications to inspections.

Clinton Kallies, Technician

Clinton has an extensive background in technical art and design as well as experience in the construction industry. Since joining Franklin Engineering in 2015, he has honed his skills with design and drafting of onsite wastewater systems and attends site visits for test pitting of wastewater projects.

Samantha Mitchell, Office Manager and Project Coordinator

Samantha oversees all administrative functions of the office. She directly handles financial matters such as client billing, AP and AR. Samantha also supports the team with onboarding and delivery of projects, assisting in developing, planning, and budget monitoring. As well, she sees projects through the various application processes (subdivision, development permit, variances).

Vanessa Linowski, T.Ag. , Qualified Environmental Professional

Vanessa is an Agrologist and our onsite QEP. She went to Lethbridge and Medicine Hat Colleges where she received diplomas in Land Reclamation and Renewable Resource Management. With over 10 years’ experience in the Environmental field, Vanessa takes on Environmental Monitoring, Management Plans, Protection Plans (EPP) and CEMPS. Vanessa also handles our Riparian Area Regulation Reports (RAPR), Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and Vegetation assessments.
